What Route Edition is
Route Edition is an independent travel publication. It publishes research, recommendations and editorial judgment about travelling in Europe. By using this site you accept the terms on this page.
The content is informational
Everything here is published for information. It is written carefully and researched against official sources where they exist, but it is not professional advice — not legal, financial, medical, insurance or immigration advice — and it is not a substitute for the official information published by the operators, authorities and venues concerned.
Decisions you make about your own trip remain yours.
Travel information changes
This is the most important thing on this page. Timetables, opening days, seasonal service, closures, restoration works, entry rules, booking requirements, prices and availability all change, sometimes at short notice and sometimes without any public announcement.
Route Edition writes durably rather than pinning content to figures that expire, and flags perishable claims where they matter. Even so: verify anything your trip depends on with the official provider before you travel or pay. We cannot guarantee that any detail here is current at the moment you read it.
Third parties and bookings
Route Edition is not a travel agency, tour operator, hotel, carrier, ticket seller or payment processor. We do not sell anything and we take no bookings.
Where a page links to a provider, any purchase is a contract between you and that provider, governed by their terms and their privacy policy. Questions about a booking, a refund, a cancellation or a service you received go to them, not to us. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any external site.

Intellectual property
The writing, structure, editorial judgments, original graphics and branding on this site belong to Route Edition. You are welcome to read, link to and quote briefly from it with attribution and a link.
Republishing pages in whole or in substantial part, or reproducing them in a way that competes with the original, is not permitted without permission. Photographs are used under their own licences or are owned by Route Edition; they are not offered for reuse from this site.
Automated collection of this site’s content for republication, or for training systems that reproduce it, is not permitted.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, move or remove content at any time.
Limits of responsibility
